1. ARTWELL RE-OPENS ITS DOORS
After some time Artwell is back up and running. So what kept the site down for the past few months? Well…

• We lost a significant amount of our data due to problems with our original ISP, causing areas of the site to stop functioning. We have changed our ISP and reconstructed the site.
• The unbelievable amount of SPAM email coming into the Artwell made it near to impossible to read and respond to non-spam emails from users. We have cleaned out our email accounts and are installing anti-spam filters to address this problem.

For the past 35 years, Central City Hospitality House has been serving the homeless community in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. Their programs consist of a shelter for homeless adults, a drop-in self help center, an employment program, and a community arts studio program.

The emphasis of the community arts studio program is on fostering self expression for those whose visions may go unnoticed due to economic circumstances. Hospitality House cultivates talents while addressing crisis needs as participants develop the self-expression skills and resulting self-confidence necessary to maintain self-esteem and regain self-sufficiency.

4. ARTWHO? – A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ARTWELL
Founded in 1995, Artwell was one of the first community focused, free online resources for fine artists. The site soon accounted for over 100 member artists with active display in the gallery, and a thriving community of fine artists participating from around the world.
